{name:Liderc#|#picture:3}-What was that!? Gods its muggy... I need to breath. Be quiet.- Commotion had awoken Liderc from his slumber. He opened his eyes where he looked upon only more darkness cocooned beneath the leaves. He had been traveling through the upper woods deep into the night and had settled down for the night. He had lit no fire to avoid attracting attention and had even gone so far to avert contact as to wrap himself up in a skin and burrow beneath the wet underbrush. Now he had been awakened and in the moist heat of the woods needed to breath.
"Who goes there?"
-Humanoid alerted by something... there may be two.- Slithering his hand in front of him he wiggled his fingers ever so slightly to make a whole he could breath through... and see through. In front of him was a pair of feet, small feet. -Theres no way that voice belonged to this woman-. For from this angle he could see enough that it was a woman. There was a few moments of silence where Liderc tried willing the two people to bugger off. -What if I am discovered? I would have to explain myself. Wait... what does it matter if I am discovered I have no quarrel with these people. What the?- -A slight tremor in the in the ground alerted Liderc to motion behind him. Something was coming in his direction from behind, something big. reacting purely on instinct Liderc made to roll away from the unknown assailant. Of course, rolling away from the thing meant rolling toward the woman's feet.
"Protect"
Leaves sticking out of his dreaded hair, cross bow bolt poised to stab and right hand grabbing the woman's ankle Liderc looked wildly around as a bear smashed to its death against nothing, mere inches from where he had lain.- I would not have gotten away.If there was no one else here that bear would have run me to the ground.-

{name:Cassa Dar#|#picture:1}The crashing and crumbling of small branches and leaves grew louder as the distance between Cassa and the bear dwindled. She merely stood there staring at the man in front of her, hoping that he would do something, anything to help her. This would prove that he was not a threat to her and that there was no need for conflict between the two of them. As the bear closed in on the young girl, she could feel the disturbance in the air and cringed a little, squinting her eyes. She was fully prepared to disperse the illusion when she heard Filendie whisper a single word. She could not make it out at first but, then his whisper echoed through the forest.
"Protect"
Her expression melted from the false horror she had portrayed, to a humble thankfulness that could not be faked. Her eyes fluttered in all directions taking in the spectacle that followed his command word. The shimmers of light feel over the forest and gleamed over her skin. The dwarf in the girls body watched as her savior's pupils seemed to enlarge and fill the entire space between his eye lids. This made his eyes look like gaping holes in his face. A normal girl of her apparent age would have been frightened by this sight but, Cassa knew that this was an act of gallantry and that the man had used the magical forces he contained, or at least a very small part of them, to stop her from being harmed.
The noise created by the bear's collision with a barrier, that she was only able to distinguish by the ripples left after the bear had made contact with it, ripped her from her thought. She was so glad that this person with what seemed to be a great deal of power was not hostile, that she had forgotten about her illusion. Just as a second crash rang out through the wood and the bear fell to its death, Cassa could feel the warmth of flesh around her ankle. Her first reaction was to peer downward to see what was touching her, taking her eyes off of the man in front of her. It was a man. A man that bore an odd marking on the left side of his face. The Wi'tch was unable to identify the brand at first glace but, after a few seconds of study, she recognized this tattoo as the mark of a Blood Rider.
The tension in her body had fled and she allowed the small gold coin to vanish from her hand. As it did, so did the illusion of the great black bear that lay lifeless, behind her. She unclenched her fists and bent down to the man lying on the ground at her feet. Extending both hands out to him, she retained the look of relief and content. As she offered her assistance to the Blood Rider, she returned her gaze to the man who had saved her and listened carefully to his next question.
"Why didn't you kill it?", He asked.
This choice of words gave her pause, she knew now that this man was no simple minded human. She knew that he was aware of her gifts as she was at least partially aware of his.
"I had to be sure, you were not a treat to me.", she answered.
In her mind she knew that it would not sit easy with anyone, being tricked like that but, she had presented no danger to him and hoped that he would understand her choices. In this time it was nearly imposable to tell who was going to try to rob you of your life. She knew he understood that at the very least.

{name:Liderc#|#picture:3}He took the woman's offered hand, rising with as much composure and dignity as he could. He was about to offer her his thanks until he herd the two odd people converse. - great so this... witch had created that bear. - He glanced behind himself to where the massive creature used to have been. Something triggered as being out of place in his mind. -If it weren't for her he may have gone along unnoticed. Oh well. No sense causing trouble where there is none. - He turned his back away from where the bear had been so that he could see them both while he made his attempt to melt away into the woods. He gripped the bolt tighter in his hand as he did so, just to be sure. Thats when it hit him. - How many bolts do I have? - Reaching behind to his bolt pack he took a quick inventory. - Hm. I seem to have all my bolts so... - He stopped his foot from stepping back and looked just below where he had been about to step. That was it. Where the illusionary bear had disappeared was another cross bow bolt. Nonchalantly he picked it up for examination. This was not one of his bolts. It was much too small. The hair on the back of Liderc's neck stood on end as the implication became clear. There were not just two people here... there were three!

{name:Golexial Therabella#|#picture:0}The sight of a hand protruding from the ground was the next thing to catch Golexials attention And Golexial was on edge once more he thought to himself oh great this just keeps getting better and better as that thought escaped him the bear vanished from view and Golexial let out a slight groan along with the rumble of his stomach. Looks like he would have to find food else wear "Dmn sorceress he quietly muttered under his breath." he watched as the small female helped the newcomer to his feet and Golexial distinctively recognized the mans features as that of a blood rider seeing the compassion and helpfulness of the little woman Golexial assumed she can't be as evil as he first thought. And seeing that his quarrel was taken off the ground from the newcomer Golexial new his game was coming to an end he re hooked his crossbow to his back and called out to the People bellow.
"hello down there fellow travelers that bear was my supper and you seemed to have ruined it would it be possible for you to make an illusion of some real food for me or would you rather leave me to starve in these god forsaken forest?"

{name:Filendie Garren#|#picture:2}Her face changed from someone knowing they were going to get trampled by a huge bear to a friendly and thankful expression. This confused Filendie, who was this woman. She was deceiving and her expressions and emotions changed as quick as he could blink. After the bear had fallen he took in more of his view and saw a man clung on to her ankle ready to give up his own life to save her “So there are more of you” He thought, his face flashing another sneer. She helped him up and as she did the bear disappeared into nothingness. Only then did he feel the release of magic.
"I had to be sure, you were not a threat to me." She said. Her answer took him by surprise as he had been taken in by the illusion. He didn’t like being tricked, but she seemed safe enough “How do I know you and your ally are not a threat to me?” he questioned “How do you know I wasn’t saving you for a reason?“ he probed. At that another voice rained down from the canopy.
"Hello down there fellow travellers that bear was my supper and you seemed to have ruined it would it be possible for you to make an illusion of some real food for me or would you rather leave me to starve in these god forsaken forest?" He looked up, another person had slipped through his guard but he didn’t seem to know the other people. Filendie stood straighter, ignoring the other two men “You are indeed a skilled sorceress; I see you can bring form to your illusions…” He stopped as if he weren’t finished his sentence. His eyes quickly turned black once again as a creature appeared in the space between Filendie the others. It was massive, standing 8 foot tall, it appeared to have hundreds of sets of teeth in its huge gaping mouth that took up half of the beast. To both sides many tentacles dripped poisonous substances that scorched the ground and its skin was as black as night. Suddenly it violently learched forward towards the three people not giving them time to react. Its screech that only they could hear was terrifying. But as it grew near it simply dispersed, and where the ground was scorched was whole again.
“… Alas my illusions are not real” He said with a small grin and a small sigh asif he had been holding his breath "I dont like being tricked, know that and heed the words" He said finally.

{name:Rayce#|#picture:5}After dealing with the wolf, Rayce sighed. Her muscles felt sore... and she was sure her hair was messy. She kept her combat gloves on - she didn't quite like the idea of fighting without them. Blake had told her about the importance of carrying weapons and getting ready to use them at any time. She was glad that she still remembered that information.
She walked on some more, all the while hearing crickets and the rustle of leaves. Her eyes darted from side to side, wary of any sudden movement. Then, she heard it.
The sound of a stream. She hurried to its direction, then saw it. She smiled, and bent down. She took off her gloves, and took out her dagger. The blood on it was drying, and she grimaced. Blood...
She put the dagger in the stream, and began washing it. It took a few minutes, but then it was clean again. Rayce put it aside, and just lay there.
She was getting sleepy... ... ... her eyes closed, and the last thing she remembered before her slumber was the sunlight filtering through the leaves...

{name:Calli'dus#|#picture:0}Pain seared through Calli'dus's body as consciousness tore him from his peace. Light ripped through his darkness as his eyes flashed open. His body writhed with the pain as if a thousand knives were slowly shredding his flesh. The pain that was ripping him apart was most concentrated around his nose. As he convulsed, he felt the agony suddenly stop as quickly as it had taken him over.
Memories came rushing back to him; the boar he had hunted, the monster that had grabbed him, the blood dripping down his face. The dark magicks that hunted him had finally caught up. He must have been captured by one of the Dark Lord's minions, and was now being tortured. He wondered if this was the same foul creature that had killed his godfather. A sudden rush of rage swarmed his body, he reached for his godfather's sword, then found it was gone. He ripped his other arm free of the appendages that held it, his muscles rippling with the exertion. His fingers dove for his hook sword, and with one fluid motion cut his head and upper body free of the bondage that held him, the slice of metal through monsterous flesh reverberating in his ears. He was blind to the pain in his head caused by the gash he had suffered when he fell, his elemental fire hardening the pain until he felt it no more.
I am a mountain, he thought to himself, mountains don't feel pain.
He tore himself free, using his hook sword like an extension of his arm. He now saw that roots were what had held him down. He looked at them scattered at his feet.
The demon must have corrupted this forest, he thought to himself, and has bent nature itself to his will.
It was then that his eyes ventured up from the severed roots to see the kneeling figure of a woman near where he had risen from. Her blond hair flowed from her head, caressing the gentle breeze that made its way through the forest. She had an elegant body, and her beauty struck him, causing him to stumble back. He looked into her violet eyes, seeing confusion in them along with a deep sadness of loss that momentarily penetrated his heart, he knew that feeling all too well.
He tried to speak, but only succeeded in choking on his own blood. After several moments of coughing, he spat out the remainder of blood that dwelled in his throat, then said in a raspy voice, "Who... are you?"

{name:Liderc#|#picture:3}The two -now apparent- mages continued to converse. Most of their conversation didn't include him... with the exception that the male seemed to think he was an allie of the witch. This was a little concerning to Liderc, only if one of the two decided to attack the other. Liderc tried to keep in the background as much as possible. He did want to leave but not until he figured out where the third person was. - Hm... where could you be. - The fact that Liderc knew there was someone else around but he couldn't see them bothered him allot. He didn't have to look much longer.
"hello down there fellow travelers that bear was my supper and you seemed to have ruined it would it be possible for you to make an illusion of some real food for me or would you rather leave me to starve in these god forsaken forest?" Absolutely shocked at his lack of skill Liderc turned his dark face towards the branches of a tree not that far from himself. - Jeez this man was extremely stealthy! Rather than hail us he could have easily snuck away or made a marvelous sneak attack. But he chose not to - Liderc's nerves began to settle. He now knew where everyone was and based on each of their deportments he only considered the male mage to be of a hostile nature; especially when he made his next move.
"You are indeed a skilled sorceress; I see you can bring form to your illusions…" The man stopped mid sentence, his eyes shifting color to a terrible black. The air between everyone thickened as a massive shape took form. And it appeared. Before them all stood a dark beast with many sets of teeth. In fact, Liderc couldn't help but notice that the creature was pretty much all mouth. The ground around the monstrosity sizzled as a poisonous substance dripped from its tentacled body. Poised to attack Liderc was still a little stunned when the thing suddenly lurched forwards at them. He took a few steps forward ready to try and defend but then stopped. The monster was gone. Liderc looked at the male mage a mix of suspicion and confusion on his face. In fact, Liderc was so disturbed by this man that he almost pulled out his bow and made an unnecessary move.
"… Alas my illusions are not real" the man said with a small grin "I don't like being tricked, know that and heed the words" - heed the words. What kind of babble was that? The man hadn't even asked, demanded or foretold anything! what words were they all supposed to be heeding? Well... perhaps that he didn't like to be tricked but whether he was tricked or not was all a matter of interpretation... ehk hypocrite. - Liderc held his defensive position beside the witch. In his mind it had already been decided that he did not like this mage. The man was aggressive, misleading and slightly pompous.
" A miser proudly shows his treasury to "friends" and it is sure to be robbed by the morrow" Liderc stated as he placed both bolts into one hand and rested his other on the witches shoulder. "Come woman. Unless you have business with this man come with us, me and the man in the tree. This is not good company we hold." He then turned his attention back to the trees. "You friend. Lets find food together. I can hunt!"

{name:Filendie Garren#|#picture:2}Filendie allowed himself a snarl "A miser proudly shows his treasury to "friends" and it is sure to be robbed by the morrow" The man said as he offered to take the woman and this other man to hunt for food. He did not ask to be judged, nether did he want this woman to come and trick him into saving her. In Filendie’s mind she was as bad as any Dark Mage “Are you sure you want to take her anywhere, Isn’t it she who cast the first stone and deceived us. Be wearier of her, she can make real things from nothing, and that, I think, is more threatening than any taunts. I was merely minding my own business when she came and tricked me...” He then stopped talking without notice “Why am I explaining myself” He seemed to say to himself more than anything. He then swiftly turned to his right and started to walk from the people untill they were out of sight.
”Because of that woman…” He began to mumble to himself, blaming everyone ese but himself “I didn’t do anything wrong, it was her fault…” He mumbled further “Should have destroyed the lot of them on the spot.” He thought and then stopped in his tracks. “Wait I’m not like that, I don’t do that” He said out loud to himself. He looked at his staff “Are these magic’s taking away what I have left of my humanity” He wondered and threw his staff to the side.
He tried to lift his feet, he wanted to walk away from it and leave the pain behind but he just couldn’t. He ran to his staff and picked it up like a hurt child. Stroking the metal surface he stood up again and continued to walk as if the staff had some sort of control over him. Alas he knew it had no ability to do so. It was his own greed that halted his step every single time he had thrown it away. He even once sold the wretched thing but ended up paying five times the amount he had sold it for to get it back. He couldn’t just leave it; if he tried his mind went to touching its cold surface, the way his hand fit in the worn dents where his fingers rested, the way he felt when he held it was like holding onto his loved one “No one will take you from me”

{name:Neelahn#|#picture:4}Gilding the sword closer to her side, Neelahn tried to keep this weapon concealed. She could hardly stand, but he didn’t know this. She gazed at him, the fury smeared across his face as he swung wildly. Immobile and hushed, she waited. Finally, he ended his outrage. She did not stir as his eyes locked with hers. She took in his loveliness, and his disfigurements, soaked them. Just a simple man... The nyphai told herself mentally as she glanced to the dirt floor of the wood.
"Who... are you?"
Neelahn let a tiny smile spread across her lips as he spoke, but it faded quickly as she looked up at the man a second time. Lifting her free hand the girl made a gesture, twisting her wrist, palm faced down, her tiny delicate fingers making slight flowing movements. The roots sliced at the man’s feet began to twirl and shift, as though they were living once again.
The nyphai’s eyes never left his, her hand still dancing by her side. Gradually her pace began to slow, the roots where forming together. Becoming whole again. Lowering her hand, the tip of her index finger faintly struck the earth. The once dead extensions of the trees before the pair abruptly snaked their way back into the cracked soil they came from.
Neelahn’s lips parted slightly, her mouth curving as she was about to speak, but a pattering sound came from behind the man. She leaned slightly on her good leg, tilting her head to see around the man, her eyes finally leaving his. Then came a slight murmur that most would not hear.
“No one will take you from me”

{name:Raven#|#picture:6} Raven walked along the river slowly as his mind began to wonder. What I'm I doing here. I have traveled this land many times, but why cant I stay in the city for once. Why cant i stay there for a long time. He noticed blood slowly moving down the river as his eyes darted quickly to look around as he moved swiftly. Raven then became one with the shadows. Hmm, Whats going on here??? His vivid eyes wondered cautiously as he walked along the river in the shade. His eyes widened as he saw a body. He walked to her with great caution and with an open mind. As he looked up noticing the sun fading into the sky bring a the moon lit sky. He gathered twigs and branches. Dead of course. To make a fire near the lass that slept. I hope this will help you rest in the night. After the camp fire was lit he smiled as he climbed the tree watching her. Ravens image faded as tho he became one with the tree. I wonder what she was up to. He closed his mind reaching out with his mind as he entered her thoughts to see what happened to her, if she was ok or not, or to see if she my be hostile.
"I Hope you are ok."He smiled again saying it under his breath not to disturb her.

{name:Golexial#|#picture:0}Golexial
Golexial sat quietly and waited as the two mages conversed until suddenly the male summoned a large fiend Golexial was quick he knew he couldn't miss the beast with his weapon but he also knew he could never kill it he chose a different rout when he saw the beast lunged towards the other two in the blink of an eye Golexial fled from whence he came putting many as much distance as he could between himself and the beast. Golexial stopped to catch his breath a few yards away he looked around and their was no sign of the beast."hmmm dmn wizard must of sent it back to whichever plane of existence he summoned it." breathing heavily Golexial felt bad for leaving the others to there fate. "oh well no friends made no friends lost. Last time I ask for a bit of food." Golexial spent a few minutes getting himself re orientated and headed of again when he heard some commotion below him. He thought it might be an animal so he crouched down in the tree and unlocked his crossbow. Golexial nearly was startled to see not an animal but a man and one he recognized none the less.
The man began to mumble to himself, far to quit for Golexial to hear. After a bit the man stopped bellow the tree Golexial was in. Golexial quietly raised his hand crossbow... Murder could not go unpunished. "Wait I'm not like that, I Don't do that." The wizard said aloud. "Are these magic's taking away what I have left of my humanity?" the wizard then threw his staff to the ground. hmm Maybe the man wasn't cold blooded. After a minute or so the man ran back to the staff and retrieved it Golexial watched as the man stroked it the way Golexial would a small rabbit.and a shiver went up his spine this man was obviously insane. But was insanity an excuse for murder? Golexial raised his crossbow again. As the man was getting farther away. Golexial knew he couldn't make the shot so he decided to shadow the man quickly and quietly Golexial became like the night..... Hungry and dark.

{name:Liderc#|#picture:3}The mage was expressively upset by the whole scenario. - There is so much emotion here for such a small encounter. - Liderc mused to himself. - Why couldn't people just be like "hi who are you? I'm * * do you need some help? - Unfortunately the world clearly hadn't worked like this for a long time and didn't. Deceival, testing taunts, agression...black and white. The workings of the human mentality was such a confusing thing to Liderc. - We have so many words to describe things... scenarios... emotions and yet it is always so different for each person. - The mage continued to warn him about the woman at his side all the while Liderc listened calmly, listening but also being partially in his own thoughts. The man was in the right or the wrong all depending on how Liderc wanted to view his "story" and he understood that. Even that thought "his [story]" had layered meanings.
The man in the tree hadn't responded to Liderc's offer to go hunt for food - Darn and the guy seemed so... sociable. - he thought to himself upon the realization that the man had fled. The woman beside him seemed to be thinking and now the male mage had left... mumbling to himself. - Well what an interesting bunch. a lady kind yet mysterious, a disturbed mage and a rogue both bold and timid. All three of them a created perception. - Liderc reached down and picked up his discarded blanket, shaking leaves and muck from it. A simple brown blanket and yet if he were to say to someone I have a brown blanket what would they say? More importantly what would that mean to them. As he stared at that blanket for a minute he reflected on the mages warning. "I was merely minding my own business when she came and tricked me..." "Well... isn't that interesting." he spoke loud enough for the lady to hear him. The mage was right and wrong and so to was Liderc. - I have no reason to trust her and no reason not to. The only reason I felt I trusted her was because she helped me to my feet... what does that imply really?- Straitening his back Liderc shoved the two bolts into his quiver, flung his camping gear over his shoulder and smiled to the sorceress. "I have a brown blanket!" he proclaimed and with that he left her to wander by himself, a humbled yet happy vagabond. (Has Left the thread)

{name:Calli'dus#|#picture:0}Calli'dus stared at the slender figure that stood in front of him. Her golden hair waved in the passing breeze. For a moment he was caught in a transe by her beauty, forgetting that she had just attacked him. Her look of pure innocence overwhelmed him. Her eyes gleamed with wisdom far beyond the winters her body seemed to have seen. His blood burned with the fires of lust and temptation. Luckily, these were fires that Calli'dus had learned to control after years of being alone on the road.
He shook himself free of these thoughts, trying to make sense of what had happened to him. His escape was too easy, she must have let him go, there was no other explaination. A servant of the Dark Lord would never be so merciful.
Her radient beauty could not be a trick of dark magicks, he thought to himself. Her act of mercy upon him was too great for that. No soul of a cold-blooded killer festered in that magnificent body.
As if to confirm these thoughts, he saw the woman wave her hand. As she did so, the roots that had bound him a few moments ago retracted themselves back into the soil from which they had erupted. As the last one slithered past his ankle, he let his body slightly relax while remaining alert.
It was in that moment that he caught a glint of metal next to the woman. His eyes reflexively moved to the source of the light. He saw, clutched in the girl's hand, his godfather's sword. A hint of anger flickered past his eyes.
Trying to keep his voice steady, he looked directly into her eyes and took a deep breath. As he exhaled he said, "Give me my sword." There was no hint of emotion in his voice. It was as sheer as a cliff and as hard and cold as the elemental powers of earth that he drew upon.
With rage bubbling inside him, he bit his lower lip to hide his anger. He tasted the blood inside his mouth, dripping onto his tongue, and with one final push onto his lip with his teeth, he swallowed the blood that seeped out.
This woman, in league with the Dark Lord or not, had much to answer to.

{name:Neelahn#|#picture:4}"Give me my sword."
The man’s voice brought the Nyphai’s gaze back to him as she shamble a slight step back. She struggled shake the image of the familiar face she had just witnessed pass before her. No! She thought, her body faintly trembling. This cannot be.
Neelahn’s violet eyes glanced to the weapon in her hand, then back behind the figure before her. Quickly, she backed up, reaching up with her free hand, drawing her staff along from the tree she had hidden in moments ago, her eyes fixed on that dark hair, those dark clothes, the pale skin. She stopped shaking and steadied herself.
Moving the sword in her hand slightly, to get the feeling of the weapon, she looked one last time at the owner of the fine blade. No wonder she had gotten that feeling. He had brought her to him. A flame built inside of her, but she knew to conceal it.
Staff in one hand, sword in the other, she crept slowly away from the man. There was more here than what meets the eye. Her hand flinched as she sped up. The hair on her arms stood up and her skin crawled. Dark Magick.
Keeping the sword low, she prepared herself to strike. She ran now, her eyes narrow and her blonde hair trailing her path. Only a few feet away from the mage, Neelahn slid on the solid earth, dropping her staff. If only she had been more careful. Looking up she managed to stare into his dark pupils. Squeezing her eyes shut, she clasped both hands on the sword and swung.
